CODE HOME RULE 2-2009

A public hearing was held today at 10:00 a.m. in the County Commissioners’ Hearing Room, R. Clayton Mitchell, Jr. Kent County Government Center, Chestertown, Maryland, on Code Home Rule Bill No. #2-2009 which is an Act to amend Chapter 161 of the Code of Public Laws of Kent County providing for clarification of shared sanitary facilities; providing for a definition of limited shared sanitary facilities; providing that the title of this legislative bill shall be deemed a fair summary; and generally relating to Chapter 161 of the Code of Public Laws of Kent County.

County Commissioners Roy Crow, Ronald Fithian, and William Pickrum, were in attendance as well as Susanne Hayman, County Administrator, Wayne Morris, Director, Department of Water & Wastewater, and approximately five interested persons and two members of the media.

Commissioner Crow read the Notice of Public Hearing into the record.

It was noted for clarification that the purpose of this bill was to include language that was included in the original legislative bill but erroneously omitted in previous legislation. There were no other comments received.

Comments will be accepted on this proposed legislation until Friday, May 1, 2009.

This hearing was taped for reference and adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
