Chestertown RiverArts Holiday Gift Sale

The members of Soroptimist International of Kent County are pleased to announce the 30th Annual Festival of Trees. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite tree w/prizes awarded. Children trees judged and awarded separately. Santa - Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning - Bring your camera. Local entertainment to be announced.

Santa Arrives in Chestertown!
Fountain Park, Chestertown

Santa arrives by firetruck to Fountain Park. He will be heralded by members of the Kent County Community Marching Band, playing from 6:45 to 7pm. Santa will throw candy (supplied by DCA) from truck as he arrives. He will then see children in his house until 9 pm. Boy Scouts will take pictures & sell cider, hot chocolate & coffee; Girl Scouts will give away cookies. Santa will be in his house at Fountain Park on Saturday, November 24th from 11am – 3pm, and every Saturday after that through December 15th from 11am – 1pm.

A Chester River Holiday

The Chester River Chorale, joined by a small chamber orchestra and the PCC Handbell Choir, presents a Holiday Concert including works by two Maryland composers and a newly commissioned setting of the African-American spiritual, Follow That Star, by Robert L. Jefferson, and the Jewish Shabbat song, Shalom Aleichem, by Sholom Kalib. The concert will also feature a new Christmas carol medley by John Curtis Browning, based on the short works of contemporary American composer, Alfred Burt.

A gala Holiday Concert highlighted by Washington National Opera Young Artist, baritone, Thomas Beard; Chestertown's own Cantor Gary Schiff and various soloists from the Chorale. Colonial Chestertown's Holiday House Tour

Several of Chestertown's most historic and significant buildings will be on display in their holiday best during the 28th Annual Holiday House Tour. Docents will guide you through each location and answer questions about each building and it's decor. Some of the homes included on the tour are the Hynson-Ringgold House, Wide Hall and the Wickes House. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
