The members of Soroptimist International of Kent County are pleased to announce the 29th Annual Festival of Trees. Vistors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite tree w/prizes awarded. Children's trees judged and awarded separately. Santa on Sat a.m. and afternoon. Breakfast with Santa Sat a.m. before parade, photo available, local entertainment to be announced.

Historic Holiday Open House

Step back into Christmas past at the Geddes-Piper House! The Historical Society of Kent County invites you to a Historic Holiday Open House at the Geddes-Piper House, circa 1783. The story of Kent County unfolds in beautifully decorated period rooms in this museum of local history, decked out in historic holiday style by the All Seasons Garden Club of Kent County.
Mary Obarra's Welcome Home cutouts of Chestertown properties, local history DVDs, and selected books on sale; wassail punch & cookies served.

Chester River Chorale Concert – "A Chester River Holiday"

A gala Holiday Concert highlighted by Washington National Opera Young Artist, baritone, Thomas Beard; Chestertown's own Cantor Gary Schiff and various soloists from the Chorale. The program of traditional Christmas and Hanukkah music will also feature accompaniments by organ, piano and a small chamber orchestra.

Continuing a 16 year tradition the church doors will again open in Parish Hall to crowds of enthusiastic customers, happy to have someone else do their baking at a busy time of year and impressed with the beauty and variety of the cookies made by volunteer members of our gongregation. Participants will walk along tables filled with cooklie trays, selecting the ones that look yummy to them and putting them in a box provided at the door when they enter.

Hospice's Annual Tree of Lights Celebration

Celebrate the holiday season with a gift of light! For each $10 donation made to suppoprt community hospice services, a light will shine brightly throughout the holiday season to remember the life of a friend or family member. Single, multiple and 10-year lights can be purchased. Tree lighting and caroling will be at 5:30 p.m. followed by refreshments.

The combined choirs will present the beautiful service of Lessons and Carols for Christmas. Leading the musical portions of the evening will be noted organist and composer, Marc F. Cheban, who serves as Director of Music at Christ UMC.
