Kent County folklorist Chris Cerino will perform tunes from his second collection of 13 original songs that capture the pleasures and challenges of living in this slice of paradise, 'Traveling at the Speed of Tide', with the humor and affection we all employ to balance the frustrations and joys of Eastern Shore life. Cerino recorded his songs in front of a live audience at the 2010 Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale which, along with the Kent County Arts Council, provided funding to assist with production.
CHARM CITY BAROQUE is new to our concert series and is a sophisticated ensemble of Peabody graduate and undergraduate students. It's instrumentalists use historically informed performance practices and period instruments to re-create baroque music in the way it was probably heard in the 17th and 18th century. The group presents a diverting and diverse program of solo and chamber works.
