Code Home Rule Bill No. 2-2005

The second Public Hearing was held on Tuesday, May 24, at 11:40 a.m. in the County Commissioners’ Hearing Room, County Government Center, Chestertown, Maryland on Code Home Rule Bill No. 2-2005 which is an Act to add new Chapter 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent County to authorize the establishment of a Community Center Authority; providing for the membership, terms, duties, supervision, compensation, and overall governance of a Community Center Authority; providing that the title of this legislative bill shall be deemed a fair summary; and generally relating to the addition of Chapter 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent County.
County Commissioners Roy W. Crow, Scott D. Livie, and William W. Pickrum were in attendance as well as Susanne Hayman, County Administrator, Mike Thielke, representing Chester Bridge Foundation, Karen Cotton, Fiscal Administrator, and Jenny Randolph, Grant manager, representing the Local Management Board, two interested citizens, and a member of the media.
Notice of the public hearing was read into the record by Commissioner Pickrum.
There was no one in attendance who wished to speak for or against this proposed legislation.
This hearing was taped for reference and adjourned at 11:50 a.m.
The third reading of this proposed legislation will be held on Tuesday, June7.
