Kent County Government - Planning, Housing, and Zoning

Worton and Butlertown - Village Master Plan

The Kent County Department of Planning, Housing and Zoning invites you to participate in development the Worton and Butlertown Village Master Plan.

The purpose of the Master Plan is to guide future growth and development in Worton and Butlertown, and to address land use, housing, open space, transportation, and community facilities. Public involvement is a very important part of the planning process. We want to hear from as many people as possible so that the plan reflects the input and views of the community.

The draft Plan is now being reviewed by various State agencies as prescribed in Article 66B of the Annotated Code of Maryland. Following State review, the Planning Commission will hold a hearing and forward a recommendation to the County Commissioners, who will make the final decision on adopting the Plan as an amendment to the County's Comprehensive Plan.

The plan can be downloaded by clicking the link below or hardcopies can be purchased from the Department of Planning, Housing and Zoning for $10.
