PUBLIC HEARING - April 19, 2011

CHR 2-2011 Boats & Boating Hearing

A public hearing was held today at 7:15 p.m. in the County Commissioners’ Hearing Room, County Government Center, Chestertown, Maryland, for the purpose of amending Chapter 68, Boats and Boating, of The Code of Public Local Laws to clarify the responsibilities of The Public Works Director and the Public Landings and Facilities Board, to provide for the Board to act in an advisory capacity, and generally relating to the Kent County Boats and Boating Ordinance.

County Commissioners, Ronald Fithian, William Pickrum, and Alexander Rasin were in attendance as well as Susanne Hayman, County Administrator, Thomas Yeager, County Attorney, and Wayne Morris, Public Works Director.

Commissioner Fithian read the Notice of Public Hearing into the record.

There were no comments or questions received from the audience. Written comments will be received in the Commissioners’ Office until noon, Friday, April 29, 2011.

This hearing was taped for reference and adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
