CODE HOME RULE 7-2011 Solid Waste

A public hearing was held today at 6:59 p.m. in the County Commissioners’ Hearing Room, County Government Center, Chestertown, Maryland, for the purpose of discussing the proposed revisions to the Kent County Solid Waste Management Plan. The purpose of the hearing is to review the draft Solid Waste Management Plan: This 10-year plan is required pursuant to the Code of Maryland Regulations Title 26, Subtitle 03, Chapter 03 entitled, “Development of County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan.”

County Commissioners, Ronald Fithian, William Pickrum, and Alexander Rasin were in attendance as well as Susanne Hayman, County Administrator.

Commissioner Fithian read the Notice of Public Hearing into the record.

Wayne Morris, Director and Marty Holden, Division Chief, Public Works presented The Draft Solid Waste Management Plan, Year 2011 Revision.

Commissioner Fithian invited comments and questions from the audience. There were no other comments or questions received from the audience. Written comments will be accepted in the Commissioners’ Office until Tuesday, January 9, 2012 at 4:30 p.m.

The hearing was taped for reference and on a motion by Commissioner Rasin and seconded by Commissioner Pickrum, the Commissioners unanimously agreed to adjourn the public hearing at 7:05 p.m.
