2012 Land Preservation Parks and Recreation Plan

A public hearing was held today at 6:19 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room, R. Clayton Mitchell Jr., County Government Center, Chestertown, Maryland, to obtain input on the draft 2012 Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan (LPPRP).

County Commissioners, Ronald Fithian and William Short were in attendance as well as Ernest Crofoot, County Administrator, Myra Butler, Director, Parks and Recreation and Carla Gerber, Community Planner, Planning, Housing, and Zoning.

Commissioner Fithian read the public notice into record.

Ms. Butler stated the LPPRP is required to be updated every five years. The 2012 Plan updates the 2006 and is supplemental to the County’s Comprehensive Plan. Ms. Gerber shared the Agricultural Preservation and Natural Resources highlights.

Commissioner Fithian invited comments and questions from the audience. No one from the audience wished to comment.

The hearing was taped for reference and the Commissioners adjourned the public hearing at 6:32 p.m.
