Hello! I’m Rachel Kendall Cumberland and I own Rachel Kendall Events. I plan events and weddings with the simple goal of making every occasion align with my clients’ expectations of creating a day that is unforgettably stellar.
So, a little about me: I am a cheese enthusiast with an affinity for Aztec-prints, Bulleit Whiskey, and traveling the world. For the past year, I have lived on a sailboat with my husband and have loved experiencing our first year of marriage as full-time sailors, exploring new places around the Caribbean.
Before sailing into the horizon, I spent 5+ years as the Senior Executive Publicist with Big Picture Media, a boutique entertainment PR firm in Manhattan, NYC. My job not only gave me a ton of opportunities to meet talented creatives, it also gave me ample experience with listening to the needs of clients and making their aspirations and dreams a reality! During my time as a publicist, I was lucky enough to work on such top events as South By Southwest, Sundance Film Festival, CMJ Music Marathon, just to name a few. After the perfect amount of time in the concrete jungle, I continued working for the company in my hometown of Philadelphia, and my current home-base of Baltimore. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of growing everlasting relationships with various vendors all along the East Coast.
While I’ve always been an incredibly organized, “people-person” with a knack for composition and design, it wasn’t until I began planning my own wedding on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay that I realized that I wanted to do event planning full-time. I loved putting together all of the details of my big day. I infused my style into every fiber of my wedding, creating a day that lived up to exactly what my family, my husband, and I envisioned. My own wedding helped me pinpoint my passion for putting together events with character and style.
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to the opportunity to learn more about your personality by putting together your most perfect event.
