Originally named Walton Chapel, this Greek Revival structure was built in 1865. Destroyed by fire in 1889, it was rebuilt and renamed Mowbray Chapel. Abandoned over the years, it was recently purchased and restored. Today, Mowbray blends its original beauty with simplicity and charm, creating a unique atmosphere for our guests. Whether planning an overnight stay or a small intimate gathering, you will relish in the specialness that is Mowbray. Our features include an Amish-made queen-size bed, full kitchen, and bath, gas fire stove, in-house laundry, and wifi. The Chapel is located on 3.2 acres in the Quaker Neck community, approximately ten minutes from downtown Chestertown.
