CHESTERTOWN TASTE OF THE TOWN The fourth annual Tate of the Town will be Sunday, April 28, 2013. Noon to 3pm. Spend an afternoon sampling signature dishes from Chestertown & Kent County's finest restaurants and caterers. Featured dishes range from nouvelle gourmet to regional classics such as Maryland Crab Soup. Diners will want to come early to view the Paint the Town artwork exhibited in Fountain Park.

GALENA DOGWOOD FESTIVAL The annual Galena Dogwood Festival is set for Saturday, May 4, 2013. It will take place throughout Galena from 9am–5pm. Parade at 10:00 A.M. There will be a Baby Contest, Crafts, Demonstrations, Exhibits and an Amusement Park. Family Oriented Magic, Mime, Story Telling, Song and Dance, Juggling and Monkey Business and plenty of Eastern Shore Food. The War of 1812 will be celecrated all weekend with a Dance, dinner, lecture, and Fireworks on Friday night at The Kitty Knight House, the na Dogwood Festival's (War of 1812 theme, 10am parade) and finish your weekend on Sunday with the re-enactment of the British’s Burning of Georgetown, featuring the Legendary of Kitty Knight.

CHESTERTOWN TEA PARTY May 24–26, 2013. Come downtown to commemorate the local merchants' revolt against the British tea tax. A reenactment, parade, concessions, & craft highlight the day on Saturday. CHESTERTOWN CLASSIC LONG DISTANCE RUN on Saturday May 25, 2013.

NATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL June 1-15, 2013. The Festival's third season, in Chestertown, Maryland, brings together world-class mentors and gifted apprentice musicians on the cusp of their professional careers. The two groups rehearse and perform together at Washington College and throughout the Eastern Shore in orchestral, chamber, solo recital, vocal, choral and chamber opera repertoire.

MUSIC in the PARK is held every other Saturday in Chestertown's Fountain Park starting in June. Please check back for dates and artists as Summer approaches.

ROCK FISH TOURNAMENT June 7–9, 2013. Until 4pm each day. Hook the Big One and win $10,000.

FOURTH OF JULY IN KENT COUNTY Kent County celebrates the 4th of July with a series of events all week long. Events take place across the county, from Chestertown to Rock Hall to Georgetown. Please check back closer to the 4th for event dates and locations.

KENT COUNTY 4-H FAIR July 18-20, 2013. 4-H Exhibits, live stock auction, music, great food and lots more. Kent AG Center, Tolchester.

BETTERTON APPRECIATION DAY Saturday, August 3, 2013. Join us for a fun-filled day at Betterton Beach! Parade starts down Main St. at 10:30 followed by rides, crafts, food and vendors at the beach. Free Admission. Parking and Rides Avaliable.

PIRATES AND WENCHES FANTASY WEEKEND Friday–Sunday, August 9-11, 2013 Avast me hearties! Buccaneers and landlubbers of all ages -- come by land or come by sea for a town-wide waterfront theme party that you won't forget! Sea shanty sing-a-long, decorated dinghy flotilla and race, beach party, pirate's ball, treasure hunts, costume contests, live entertainment, merchants, mayhem on Main Street and much more for the whole family! Costumes and acts of piracy encouraged!

33rd CHESTERTOWN WILDLIFE EXHIBITION & SALE October TBA, 2013. Over 60 carvers, artists and craftsmen are on display throughout the historic district.

SULTANA DOWNRIGGING November 1-3, 2013. Traditional sailing vessels from around the Chesapeake will visit Chestertown to help the schooner Sultana celebrate the close of its season under sail.

14TH ANNUAL CHESTERTOWN RIVERARTS STUDIO TOUR AND SHOW October 26-27, 2013 and November 2-3, 2013. Here's the chance to enter into the working studios of area artists and craftspeople, ask questions, see them at work and get a chance to purchase incredible art at studio prices. he self guided Studio Tour will include studios in Chestertown, Rock Hall, Galena, Betterton, Church Hill and Arts at Still Pond Station.

JOIN US FOR THE HOLIDAYS (Currently showing 2012 events. 2013 events will be posted when available in the Fall) The spirit of the holidays can be found all over Kent County. Craft shows and fairs, holiday concerts, parades and house tours are just a few of the many events happening this holiday season in Kent County. Join us in celebrating this festive season.

HOLIDAY HOUSE TOUR The 28th Annual Holiday House Tour will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This tour of notable private residences and public buildings decorated for the holidays is always a wonderful event. The proceeds of this event are used to help the students of both Kent County Middle School and Henry Highland Garnett Elementary School located in downtown Chestertown.

NEW YEAR'S EVE IN ROCK HALL Rock Hall Crawl Chasin' th' Blues To 2013. Countdown the New Year, with the famous "RockFish Drop" and fireworks, at midnight at Rock Hall Harbor Bulkhead.
