KENT COUNTY, MARYLAND

The Honorable Board of County Commissioners met today with the following present: Roy W. Crow, Scott D. Livie, and William W. Pickrum, presiding.

Mauritz Stetson, Alcoholic Beverage Inspector, was also in attendance.

VIOLATION

The Alcoholic Beverage Inspector notified the Commissioners of a violation of the alcoholic beverage laws and criminal laws, ie. issue/sale of false identification, possession of alcoholic beverage under 21 years of age, forging a public document, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance - marijuana. The case was closed by an arrest.

VIOLATION
JT'S ROCK HALL INN

The Alcoholic Beverage Inspector notified the Commissioners that a violation of the alcoholic beverage laws Article 2B Section 13-101(2)(i), failure to have an individual certified in Alcohol Awareness Training present during the hours in which alcoholic beverages are served or consumed. After discussion, the Commissioners concurred to send a letter advising of a $50.00 fine with an option for an administrative hearing should one be requested by the licensee. The Commissioners agreed that mismanagement in a licensed premise will not be tolerated by this Board.

TAILGATE MARKET

The Alcoholic Beverage Inspector notified the Commissioners that a violation of the alcoholic beverage laws Article 2B Section 13-101(2)(i), failure to have an individual certified in Alcohol Awareness Training present during the hours in which alcoholic beverages are served or consumed. After discussion, the Commissioners concurred to send a letter advising of a $50.00 fine with an option for an administrative hearing should one be requested by the licensee.

SPECIAL LICENSE

The Commissioners approved a one day only special Class C Beer and Wine License for the Mainstay Inc. for music performance to be held at the Mainstay in Rock Hall on December 31.

There being no further business to claim their attention, the Board adjourned to meet again on Friday, December 27, 2002.
