The Honorable Board of License Commissioners met today
with the following present: Roy W. Crow, Scott D. Livie, and William W.
Pickrum, presiding.
Mauritz Stetson, Alcoholic Inspector, was also in attendance.
SPECIAL LICENSE
The Commissioners approved a one-day only, Class C licenses as follows:
a Beer, Wine, and Liquor License for the Chester River Hospital Center
Auxiliarys Christmas Shop Preview Party to take place at the Sgt. John
Newnam National Guard Armory, Chestertown, on October 8, 2004, and a Beer
and Wine License for the Mainstay, Inc., Rock Hall, for a musical performance
to take place at the Mainstay building on September 24, 25 and October
9, 2004.
VIOLATION
HARBOR HOUSE
Mr. Stetson reported that, during a routine inspection of the Harbor House
restaurant, Chestertown, on September 17 at approximately 7:30 p.m., he
developed probable cause to believe that an on-going violation of the
alcoholic beverage laws was occurring as it relates to the failure to
have an employee properly certified in alcoholic awareness on the premises
or properly logged out.
An administrative hearing will be scheduled for this alleged violation.
THE KITTY KNIGHT HOUSE
Correspondence was received from JoAnn Thomson, President, Lynette Lyndia,
Secretary, and Mary J. Frazer, Treasurer, The Kitty Knight House, Georgetown,
advising of a corporate meeting held on August 25 at which it was decided
that Michael Waal would no longer serve on its Board of Trustees, and
be replaced by Mary J. Frazer as Treasurer, effective August 25, 2004.
There being no further business to claim their attention, the Board adjourned
to meet again on Tuesday, September 28, 2004.
