Kent County Comprehensive Plan

The County Commissioners adopted the County's updated Comprehensive Plan on May 2, 2006. Adoption of the Plan followed almost two years of effort by the Planning Commission and the citizens of Kent County. The Plan has been amended twice to include elements required by HB 2 and HB 1141.

The Plan contains a Vision Statement, goals and strategies for eight major topics, an implementation section and a background document. The Plan has been located here on the web page as a .pdf document which will require the Adobe Reader. Hard copies of the Plan can be purchased for $15 from the Department of Planning and Zoning. In addition, copies have also been given to the Kent County Public Library branches in Chestertown, Galena and Rock Hall.
