Land Use Ordinance

On December 3, 2002 the County Commissioners adopted a new Land Use Ordinance that required amendments by the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Commission. The amendments were adopted by the County Commissioners on August 19, 2003 and the new Land Use Ordinance became effective on October 3, 2003.

Copies of the Land Use Ordinance are available for purchase from the Department of Planning and Zoning for $30.00 for a printed copy or $15.00 for a copy on a CD. Copies of the text are also available for review at the Kent County Public Library in Chestertown and at all Town Offices.
