Fairlee and Georgetown - Master Vilage Plan

The Fairlee and Georgtown Village Master Plan was developed to guide future growth and development in Fairlee and Georgetown areas, and to address land use, housing, open space, transportation, and community facilities needs.   Public participation was an integral part of the planning process for the project.  Public workshops were held to identify and discuss community values and alternative futures.

The draft Plan was reviewed by various State agencies as prescribed in the Land Use Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland. Following State review, the Planning Commission held a hearing and forwarded a recommendation to the County Commissioners.

Ultimately, the County Commissioners decided against adopting the Village Master Plan as an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan.

The plan is in our office to review or purchase and can be downloaded as a .pdf document using the link below.
