Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore (BBBSES) offers vital, life-changing programs, enrichment activities, and resources to local Kent County youth between 6-16 years old and their families. BBBSES aims to ignite the inherent potential in every child, contributing to improved self-confidence, improved behavior, better relationships with family members, improved sense of future, and enhanced academic performance. Needs of children are analyzed during enrollment, and customized youth development plans are designed to ensure positive outcomes. Youth are matched with mentors who enjoy similar interests and who will help them achieve their goals. Becoming a volunteer mentor for a local child is a fun, life-changing experience. By fostering strong relationships and encouraging long-term connections, mentors contribute to building stronger communities and a strengthened sense of community.
