A three week exploration of the fundamentals of watercolor. Students will learn to control the ratio of water to pigment, recognize and create value differences and mix luminous colors. The class format will be on zoom., with additional instructional PDFs and homework assignments. Through a series of watercolor exercises students will become proficient enough to complete a landscape painting in the final session.

Join RiverArts staff for this FREE class as we demonstrate a variety of ways to create fun and colorful art from yarn.

Short demos will be followed by time to create together and share ideas.
Have your yarn handy -- along with some good scissors, some cardboard, and maybe a few sticks from your yard.

Learn how to make beautiful paper flowers from book pages & other fun papers you have at your home. Two or three different styles of flowers will be demonstrated, and you'll have a chance to make your own and ask questions.
Suggested supplies:
*Your choice of paper (book pages, origami paper, normal printing paper, etc) Choose a few different styles, colors, and sizes
*Wet glue (will work better than stick glue)
*Scissors
*A wooden skewer, such as those used for kebabs
*A cup or jar with an opening diameter of about a few inches (optional)
*Quilling pin (optional)
