The Honorable Board of License Commissioners met today with the following present: Roy W. Crow, Scott D. Livie, and William W. Pickrum, presiding. Mauritz Stetson, Alcoholic Beverage Inspector, appeared to discuss the following issues: SPECIAL LICENSE The Commissioners approved the following one day special Class C Licenses: A Beer and Wine License for the Mainstay, Inc. for a music show to be held at the Mainstay Building, Chestertown on May 14 and June 1. A Beer, Wine and Liquor for the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company Auxillary for an event at the fire house in Chestertown on May 3. RENEWAL APPLICATIONS Mr. Stetson advised that he had reviewed nineteen renewal applications. He reported of two establishments, the Water Hole and JT's Rock Hall Inn, that did not meet the State tax obligations. He also noted that five alcoholic beverage licenses will be discontinued, namely Feast of Reason, Hawkeye's, Haven Harbour Marina, Clark's General Store and Alexander's Cafe. At the recommendation of Mr. Stetson, a motion was made by Commissioner Crow, seconded by Commissioner Livie and made unanimous by Commissioner Pickrum to approve the renewals, pending notification from the Comptroller's Office for the Water Hole and JT's Rock Hall Inn. LUISA'S CAFÉ, INC. In follow-up from April 8, the Commissioners received correspondence from Domenico Fevola, and Vincenzo Assanrte Di Cupillo, Luisa's Café Inc., President of Luisa's Café Inc., advising of new officers to the alcoholic beverage license. They are as follows: Domenico Fevola, President Vincenzo Assanrte Di Cupillo, Treasurer Salvatore Scotto D'Antunono, Secretary A motion was made by Commissioner Crow, seconded by Commissioner Livie and made unanimous by Commissioner Pickrum to approve the officers as submitted. KENNEDYVILLE INN Application was received from Kevin McKinney, licensee, to include Sunday Sale Privilege on the Class B Beer, Wine and Liquor restaurant license. A motion was made by Commissioner Crow, seconded by Commissioner Livie and made unanimous by Commissioner Pickrum to add the Sunday Sale Privilege to the alcoholic beverage license. LEWES DAIRY MARKET The Commissioner received correspondence from Mahmood Baig Mirza, and Hina Mahmood, Lewes Dairy Market, advising of new officers to the alcoholic beverage license. They are as follows: Mahmood Baig Mirza, President Hina Mahmood, Secretary Kashif Mugal, Treasurer Thomas M. Parks, III, Assistant Secretary A motion was made by Commissioner Crow, seconded by Commissioner Livie and made unanimous by Commissioner Pickrum to approve the officers as submitted. There being no further business to claim their attention, the Board adjourned to meet again on Tuesday, May 6, 2003.
