The Honorable Board of License Commissioners
met today with the following present: Roy W. Crow, Scott D. Livie, and
William W. Pickrum presiding.
Mauritz Stetson, Alcoholic Beverage Inspector, was also in attendance.
RENEWAL APPLICATIONS
Mr. Stetson reported that he reviewed 30 renewal applications, and that
he performed a percentage check (60% - 40% - alcoholic beverage sales
ratio) on Class B alcoholic beverage license applications.
He indicated that the only establishment not to meet the requirement was
Brahma Bulls, a new restaurant in Rock Hall, and he recommended that all
30 applications be approved.
A motion was made by Commissioner Crow, seconded by Commissioner Livie,
and made unanimous by Commissioner Pickrum to approve the renewal applications
as presented.
They requested that Mr. Stetson talk with the licensee of Brahma Bulls
about the 60% - 40% ratio requirement to maintain its Class B License.
It was noted that Pasta Plus was downgraded from a Class B Beer and Wine
to a Class B Beer License and Old Oars Inn did not renew its license.
SPECIAL LICENSE
The Commissioners approved a one-day, Class C, Beer, Wine and Liquor License
for the Betterton Fire Company for an event scheduled on October 30, 2004
and a Beer and Wine License for the Mainstay, Inc., Rock Hall, for a musical
performance to take place at the Mainstay building on November 5, 2004.
There being no further business to
claim their attention, the Board adjourned to meet again on Tuesday, November
9, 2004, at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Hearing Room.
There will be no regularly scheduled meeting of the Commissioners during
