Public Hearings - CODE HOME RULE 4-2011 PARKS & REC ADVISORY BOARD

A public hearing was held today at 6:51 p.m. in the County Commissioners’ Hearing Room, County Government Center, Chestertown, Maryland, for the purpose of repealing Chapter 14 (Community Center Authority) and To repeal and re-enacting with amendments Chapter 42 (Parks and Recreation Advisory Board) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent County, dissolving the Community Center Authority; bringing the Kent County Community Center under the authority of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board; providing for the membership, terms, duties, supervision, compensation and overall governance of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board; and generally relating to the Kent County Parks and recreation Advisory Board.

County Commissioners, Ronald Fithian, William Pickrum, and Alexander Rasin were in attendance as well as Susanne Hayman, County Administrator and Wayne Morris, Director, Public Works.

Commissioner Fithian read the Notice of Public Hearing into the record.

Commissioner Fithian invited comments and questions from the audience.

There were no comments or questions received from the audience.

Written comments will be accepted in the Commissioners’ Office until Friday August 26, 2011 at noon.

The hearing was taped for reference and on a motion by Commissioner Rasin and seconded by Commissioner Pickrum, the Commissioners unanimously agreed to adjourn the public hearing at 6:53 p.m.
