Kennedyville - Master Village Plan

The Kennedyville Village Master Plan was developed to guide future growth and development in Kennedyville, and to address land use, housing, open space, transportation, and community facilities needs.   Public participation was an integral part of the planning process for the project.  Two public workshops were held to identify and discuss community values and alternative futures.   A third public workshop was held on November 30, 2006 to review the final draft of the Kennedyville Village Master Plan.

The draft Plan was reviewed by various State agencies as prescribed in the Land Use Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland. Following State review, the Planning Commission held a hearing and forwarded a recommendation to the County Commissioners.

The County Commissioners held a public hearing on November 13, 2007, and ultimately, decided against adopting the Village Master Plan as an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan.

The plan is in our office to review or purchase and can be downloaded as a .pdf document using the links below.
