The Weed Control Advisory Board provides advice, input and oversight to the Kent County Weed Control Coordinator and the Maryland Department of Agriculture Weed Control Program representative regarding planning and management of the Noxious Weed Control Program in the county.
Membership should include, but be not limited to, local farmers, other interested county landowners or managers, and representatives of local agri-business, State Highway Administration, Kent County Public Works Director, Kent County Roads Division, agriculture agencies (University of Maryland Extension, USDA Farm Service Agency, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Kent County Soil and Water Conservation District), and Board of County Commissioners of Kent County.
The Committee shall meet annually and as needed. Members shall serve on a voluntary basis.
Notifications
The Kent County Weed Control Advisory Committee will meet in regular, open session at 9:00 AM on Thursday, December 12, 2019, in the first-floor conference room at Kent County Public Works, 709 Morgnec Road, Chestertown, MD 21620. A meeting agenda will be posted on this webpage no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting.
